Why serial and modular?
All boats, even the more futuristic ones, foiling and electric can be considered a “one-off” in terms of design, construction, upgrade and end of life handling, even if built serially.
A common modular, standardised and shared platform can ensure a technology progress never seen in the nautical scenario, and a progress in circular economy and sustainability.
Intensive professional use, rental, propulsion replacement will be managed in “car-like mode”, including the recycling of reusable parts at the end of the vessel’s life.
Engine maintenance will also benefit from the possibility of “swapping” the torpedo without stopping the boat in service, a benefit that is even more evident in the case of a fleet of boats.
